WHITE AUSTRALIA HAS A BLACKBIRDING HISTORY

On June 11th 2020 Prime Minister Scott Morrison commented that there was no slavery in Australia.  He apologised to the Australian community on June 12th 2020 after many of us wrote to him directly to express our anger.  Soon afterwards I created this protest banner based on the design for Tal Fitzpatrick's Six Moments in Kingston project.  I sent it to the Australian South Sea Islanders as a gift for the PM or to use as they see fit. I have used a vintage australiana teatowel, vintage buttons, brocade and tassels with felt and thread.
