#UDHR EMBROIDERY SAMPLER

After finishing my quilt block for the #UDHR Quilt Project I responded to a call out for participants to attend a workshop at the Museum of Australian Democracy, Old Parliament House, Canberra in 2018.  The instructor was Rebecca Ray, an accomplished embroiderer trained at the Royal School of Embroidery in London.  She designed the sampler below to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights written in 1948.  It was a delight to fly to Canberra for the day to spend time in the specially designed Crafting Space overlooking the Tent Embassy.  I finished the sampler in 2020.
