A3 Gouache and Ink Drawing on Paper, 42 cm x 29.7 cm, unframed.
Indigo cloth seems to have a special power. It radiates love, or something from another world. There's a sentence in the book titled Indigo by Catherine McKinley that speaks about how a women's indigo wrapper, the size to put around her body, would be traded for a slave. I wondered if the person's spirit would somehow be transferred and carried within the cloth. A sad past that needs to be acknowledged. What would our world be like if there are spirits in the cloth?
For safe transport your artwork will be wrapped in acid free tissue paper, placed between foam core sheets and placed into a rigid mailer.
