This textile sculpture is part of my spirit doll collection which began in 2011. This particular work was a response to reading the book called The Cartographer by Peter Twohig when the main character spotted a tragedy unfolding as he glanced through a window while standing on a ladder. He was frozen due to a trauma response and I wanted to show this moment of immobilisation which can feel like we are suspended and disconnected from ourselves.
The dimensions of this work are 26 cm x 19 cm x 4 cm.
