This quilt is one of five hand designed, hand pieced and hand quilted art quilts that was exhibited in The Jefferson Grid exhibition at the Hume Global Learning Centre Gallery, Sunbury Feb 19 - Mar 27 2020. Made from vintage and new cotton fabrics, cotton thread, cotton batting, acryllic paint and fabric medium this work is a true original. It has been lovingly handcrafted over hundreds of hours and the back of the work is hand painted using the matching grid pattern from the front side. The hand quilting stitches can be seen on the back of the work, creating a soft pattern that can be viewed from close up. This name of this particular quilt was inspired by written words of my Instagram friend Carol from the USA. She gave me permission to use them as an artwork title and this was it! I love the sense that the circle in the middle could represent the breathe or our whole true self.
The dimensions of the work are 120 cm x 80 cm and installation advice is available.
