Just Waiting

A3 Gouache and Ink Drawing on Paper,  42 cm x 29.7 cm, unframed.

This work was inspired by my recent trip to the USA when I started to draw Fragments of fabric with a more 3D effect than usual.  This lead to me experimenting with creating vessels; a form that I have always loved.  To me the vessel links to my love of baskets and basketweaving, indigenous art, thoughts of love and containment and my role as a therapist.  I seem to draw vessel shapes when in need of some containment myself!
