A4 Gouache and Ink Drawing created the day after I arrived home from doing the Overland Track Hike in the harsh Tasmanian Wilderness in early Nov 17. I had looked down at my feet for 6 days. It was the hardest thing I have ever done physically and mentally. I spent most of the time looking at tree roots, rocks and stepping through mud puddles. Lots of time to think and reflect. Then a visit to the Frontier Wars exhibition at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery had a huge impact. I started reading the book The Black War by Nicholas Clements. I knew I would never be the same again.
